- Take the right courses,
- Choose activities that you love
- Develop good relationships with your teachers and your high school counselor
- Prepare for and take all the tests: the PSAT, SAT or ACT and Subject Tests
Find Colleges You Love
- Begin developing your college list
- Visit the colleges on your college list
- Develop relationships with and demonstrate interest in the admissions offices of colleges that interest you
Gather Application Ammunition
- Put together an activities resume
- Gather personal stories to use in your essays and give to your recommenders
